Neo-Romance
As a commentary on the current era of love and dating, Neo-Romance (originally for clarinet and string trio) explores the tumultuous, twisting nature of love in the contemporary view. Paying homage to the Romantic Era's soundscape and form, Neo-Romance likens itself to fluid Brahmsian melodies while incorporating individual parts that create a contemporary soundscape similar to Walton's. This performance was for the Talent Unlimited High School Annual Gala in May 2023. The performers are as follows:Â
Jay Julio, violin
Yoonjung Hwang, violin
Kayla Williams, viola
Malachi Brown, cello
